Heavy rains across the area the past two days have resulted in several flood watches from the National Weather Service.  The weather has also forced several school systems in our area to alter their schedules for Tuesday morning.

As of 5:00pm CST Monday afternoon, a Flood Warning was  in effect for Marion County. More specifically, a Flood Warning for the Sequatchie River.

Ketner’s Mill Ln. is currently impassible. Due to continued runoff and scattered shower activity,  a flood watch will remain in effect through the night tonight. Currently, there are no winter weather alerts in effect for Marion Co.; however, Grundy Co., TN is under a Winter Weather Advisory for snow later tonight and tomorrow morning.

Marion County Schools will operate on a 1 and a half our (90 min) delay for Tuesday morning.  Richard Hardy Memorial School students will report to class at 9:30am CST.
