VAN BUREN CO., Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued an AMBER Alert for East Tennessee on behalf of the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department.
3-year old Summer Knasel and 4-year old Lovell Knasel were abducted by their non-custodial parents, 32-year-old Jeremy Knasel and 24-year-old Ashley Norberg.
The children were taken from their custody earlier this month after it was discovered Knasel and Norberg were manufacturing methamphetamine in the house with the children present.
The parents are believed to be armed with a handgun.
The children were abducted at approximately midnight Tuesday.
Officials believe they are driving a 1993 black Nissan Maxima with Tennessee license plate number 065 VKS.
