Marion County Messenger Chief Meteorologist, Robert Frye, says the next two days bring the slight risk of severe weather to the Sequatchie Valley during the midday hours as an upper low moves through our area along with some very warm and unstable air.
Storms that could develop today do bring the threat for hail and damaging straight line winds in excess of 80mph, however the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center puts the risk of tornadoes at only 5% for our area today.
Thursday is expected to be warm again with highs reaching into the 70s for much of the area. That warm weather will create more showers and possible strong storms for Thursday night into early Friday morning.
