A line of severe thunderstorms that rolled through the Sequatchie Valley and Marion County last night left many customers in the dark for a while.
Officials with the Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative reported outages to the grids in both Marion and Grundy Counties.
The outages, caused by downed tree limbs and debris, affected customers all the way from the North end of Grundy County to areas including Whitwell and parts of South Pittsburg and Richard City.
Officials with SVEC remind customers in situations such as last night’s storms, to never go near downed lines and to report dangerous situations IMMEDIATELY to 1-888-421-7832.
