Vols to honor Gatlinburg fire victims by wearing Smoky Gray uniforms in bowl game

To honor the victims of the Gatlinburg wildfires from earlier this month, the Tennessee Vols football team will don their smoky gray uniforms when they play Nebraska in the Music City Bowl.

The game is scheduled for December 30 in Nashville.

Tennessee typically only wears the gray alternate uniforms for special occasions or games. The Vols last wore the uniforms when they defeated Florida on September 24th by a score of 38-28.

The uniforms were designed with an image of the Smoky Mountains printed on the helmet along with other subtle hints to the geographic location located near the UT campus in Knoxville.
