The Dunlap Fire Department responded to a fire on Friday afternoon at a local mobile home park.

The department received the call at 5:56 PM CDT, with Dunlap Engines 1 and 3, Tanker 1, Rescue 2 and Dunlap Police responding to the scene to find the home’s interior fully-engulfed with fire.

According to a post on Facebook from the fire department, firefighters say they used two attack lines to quickly extinguish and get the fire under control. Though the home was a total loss, officials say there were no injuries to report.
In addition to the American Red Cross assisting the displaced family, Dunlap Fire Chief Norman Hatfield and Firefighter Dan White met with the family the following day and provided them with disaster care packages that were put together and provided to the department by Girl Scout Troop #40505.The department also provided stuffed animals to the children who lost their own toys in the incident.

At this time there’s no word on the fire’s cause.
