SCOTTSBORO, Ala. — An 18-wheeler lost its entire load of beer just outside of Scottsboro on Thursday morning when it overturned. The truck, which was full of Anheuser-Busch products, overturned on State Highway 35 near Highway 40 and the BB Comer Bridge over the Tennessee River.

Officials say the trailer ripped in half when it turned over, spilling kegs, bottles, cases, and cans of beer all over the roadway.

The driver was the only person injured in the incident and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. He is expected to make a full recovery.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office blocked-off Highway 40 while crews cleared the scene, by diverting traffic to Highway 35. There is no word on the cause of the accident, but authorities believe the wet roadways did play a part.
